Charlie Chaplin "The Kid" Chest

Charlie Chaplin

Salvaged from a post office, I took inspiration from the silent movies of Charlie Chaplin for this piece. I wanted to keep in tone with the black and white scheme, feeling bold colours would be inappropriate. However, I do love subtle hints of colour - so on the top of the piece, there is layered undertones of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Giverny, Aubusson Blue and Florence peeping through.

To add interest and contrast, Annie Sloan Gold Leaf was applied to the back rail, the body was then waxed with Annie Sloan Clear Soft Wax & Black Wax.

28.5"x 36" x 15.5"
